“A charming Auberge with clean rooms, but the reason to stay is to be fed like royalty by excellent hosts Philippe and Roger. The dining room. is full of rustic ambience and food is worth travelling out of the way to experience it. This Auberge is a gem. Don't miss it.”

“I passed by this hotel after being unable to find anywhere nearby with available rooms. I can't speak too much on the location, views, breakfast, or other amenities as I arrived after dark and left before sunrise. Check-in was efficient, and they were happy to store my bike somewhere accessible so I could leave first thing without a fuss. The owner at reception was polite, despite me arriving well outside the usual check-in times and ringing the bell. The value was great, the shower was good, the WiFi worked, and there were enough sockets (with USB ports) to get everything charged.”

“A cozy inn in a lovely setting, close to many hiking trails and charming small villages. The welcome was warm, and while we didn’t expect to eat Belgian cuisine in Ariège, it was a great surprise! The rooms and bathrooms are simple—rustic, even—but clean and comfortable. The garden by the river is beautiful.”

“A beautiful setting whether sitting outside over looking the ambling river in the summer, or inside the historic setting of the building during the cooler months of the year. This establishment does not disappoint. The owners Robert and Philip are very attentive and yet decreet at the same time. The food is exquisite and the proportions are ideal for a two or three course meal. The restaurant does not over book the tables, so a reservation is required any night, but this keeps the experience exclusive and with a private feeling. The ambience is exquisite.”

“Very warm welcome from the owners. The building is authentic and rustic. The little garden perched above the 2 rivers is a wonder, a really pleasant cove for an afternoon drink and a dunk in the fresh river! The evening meals are a true revelation, nicely inspired by the local folk lore and intensely flavoured. And with the generous collection of Belgian beers, scotch whiskies and local wine, there is something for every taste bud. We'll be visiting again... :)”

“Lovely place to stay and affordable. The food was amazing and the chef was lovely. Enjoyed that the animals were allowed to roam free but knew not to when people were eaten. Owner was a bit rude. In the morning the door was locked when planning to leave so we propped the door open with a shoe while loading the car. Instead of speaking to us he just threw the shoe into the middle of the road.”
